Any Classic Ford Owners Here?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

I'm new here and just wanted to find out if there are any classic Ford owners here that might be able to help me with something.

I have a Fiesta MK2, 1986, which got broken into about a year ago. The would-be theives broke the ignition cowling and snapped what I believe is the ignition switch (not the ignition barrel where the key goes in, but the part on the left hand side of the steering wheel). I've been hotwiring her to drive her these past months, as they snapped the switch completely apart so I basically have to make the connection that turning the key would normally make, with two bits of copper wire.

I really want to get this fixed but have no idea who could help, I struggle to really explain what the problem is as anyone I speak to tend to think I mean the ignition barrel where the key goes in (this is all fine).

ANY help at all, such as a specialist garage or mechanic in the South would be really appreciated. I can take photos and post them if anyone wants to have a look.

Cheers guys,

fizzygirl

I'm looking  for a wireing diagram for a 1986 Ford fiesta left-hand drive ,1,6 diesel,  any help here would be greatly appreciated, as I'm rewiring this car from scratch, previous owner made a bad  attempt  ,

Haynes Manual does have some wiring dagrams, only other suggestion might be "Autodata".

A trip down memory lane back to the era of Gordon Brown and David Cameron. It's hard to imagine that either of those two clowns would be preferable to the dangerous lying fools who now run the circus 🙄

Labour were elected on the back of John Smith, and the constituency part of Witney should hang their heads in shame !

Thirteen years on, does 1997 count as classic now?
