Hi guys,

I have got a 2014 MK3 focus estate 1.6 diesel. I bought this off a garage back in September as we needed a bigger car due to a family expansion. The garage was ace, cannot fault them. I had a judder after a week or so driving which he helped sort out which was a bulge in the tyre, the tyre got replaced no problem. Then I had this horrible whine when using the clutch, mainly when parking not when changing gear whilst driving. He said he would expand the warranty on the clutch for 12 months. He thinks it just got hard. I could only think it’s because it might of been stood up for a while being ex MOD. That noise disappeared after a few months. Now recently whilst driving along in 3rd or 4th gear and de-accelerating there is a knocking noise. If I dip the clutch or brake it goes. I don’t think it is the cv joint as that is fine when turning full lock etc. Could anyone give me some advice please? I don’t want to take it to a garage and pay loads just yet. Thank you.
