1.0 Ecoboost engine swap

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am going to be swapping my 1.0 ecoboost engine with a newer low mileage refurbished one as mine is shot. Just got a few questions -

1. Is there any special tools needed for just a simple straight swap, one engine out and one engine in?

2. Do these engines have a stretchy belt installed or non stretchy?

Cheers in advance!

hi josh

i have done the same taken blown engine and auto gearbox out of my 20014 fiesta and replace it with a 2017 ecoboost my only problem now is it will turn over but wont start do i also need the ecu form the doner car to be swapped over or not.

ben

hi all problem with starting has been solved by installing the ecu that was matched to the engine.

i now have a problem with the fan not comming on i got 4 bars on temp gauge and still not coming on .

it does come on when i switch on the a/c.

Engine harness and ancillaries should be used from the original engine
