Hi everyone, I have the above vehicle 63 plate, 73492 which cut out on me at 60mph whilst on dual carriageway, local garage advising timing belt snapped, which is not due by time or mileage recommended by Ford,  it is going to be confirmed by Ford, I’m just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, I’m a keyworker and rely heavily on my car, so stressed sorry for rambling on!

Thanks In advance

I doubt Ford will offer any help on a 7 year old car  - even if you had 7 years of Main Dealer stamps.

Looks like over £500 for a belt change - but if its snapped you could be looking at a new engine

It's happened to a few people on the 1.0EB.  It's a wet belt on these (runs in oil) and usually the belt snaps early due to using oil flushes or additives which degrade the belt.
