Fiesta Mk7 front door inner brace beam

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a looseness when I shut the front drivers door on my 2010 fiesta which seems to be something rattling or loose about three quarters of the way down from the handle.

Looking at some videos when window regulators have been replaced there seems to be bracing beam at this proximity which appears to be damped by some plastic or foam?? brackets placed at regular intervals along this beam.

Has anybody come across the same problem and if so have they fixed the issue either with replacement parts or something that they fabricated.

Just wanted some steer before I take the door panel and cover off.

Thanks for any help

Look at the plastic pins in the video

I bet they are not in place, i swear, its a pain in a butt to get them in place 😡.

The only solution is to remove the door lock and slide the 3 plastic pins, and only after screw the door lock.

Dont finish like the video

Hi, i had this same problem and was the beam running accross and one of the points that are glued had come loose, had to get the door stripped down and it stuck back together, i noticed because my speakers were rattling the door or also tapping the outside of the door below the handle, it clearly rattled

Chris,

I think this is exactly what’s going on. It’s no wonder a lot of these cars rattle on the doors if the beam supports are only glued.

Im assuming that the beam is attached to the door at the extreme ends and these glued points In between are really just supports and dampers.

Thank you for your help, I’ll take some pics for the  sake of the club  when I strip it down. 👍
