Ford Fiesta ST150 cutting off and starting up(limp mode)help

Featured Replies

Bought a fiesta st that was needing repairs engine sounds sweet as a nut, had to put new slam panel crash bar radiator and condenser in, so now I have it road worthy put back together every time it hits a bump the car cuts off for a tiny second, then drives as nothing happened but sometimes when it hits the bump it sends the car into limp mode and when I turn it off and back on its good? Or I hit a bump and it says engine system fault, really not to sure what it is that’s causing this

Check all of your pcv valves and hoses.

(mine had) Im aware that the breather hoses split and then that can cause a loss of power and even limp mode. I have a 1.6 Duratec and never owned a ST15 I’m not sure where these are. Have a look online for the Crank ventilation/breather hose and the inlet manifold breather too. maybe worth checking the pcv valves also.
