Hi, I have recently bought a new Ford Fiesta titanium 1.5 tdci 68 plate, but the audio won’t come on the place where I have got the car from claim that the battery died during lockdown due to COVID 19 and that it just needs updating by Ford, I am booked in to Ford but just want to see if anyone has had the same problem an it can be fixed.

    I had a similar problem with my 2019 Focus where all the Audio stopped working and in my case it was a hardware problem, the ACM (Radio) needed replacement. 

    I had that car from new so I knew it was nothing to do with the Battery State of Charge.

    Make sure you get a nice Courtesy Car because in my case Ford had the car for 6 weeks before I got it back fixed.

    In my case after all the Audio stopped working if I long pressed the Voice Button for several seconds a fault message would appear in the  instrument Cluster. Also the ACM would not show up in FORScan and there were a couple of fault codes.

    You could try removing the Radio Fuse for a few minutes and try a soft reset of the Sync system as per the instructions in your handbook and this may fix things if it is software but not if it is hardware.
