Rust on ecoboost turbo pipe.

Featured Replies

What would you do?

my son has bought a 2017 1l ecoboost fiesta, and I noticed that there is a small spot of rust on the top of the two pipes, underneath the pipe. It about 2-3 mm across. Is this something to be concerned about? I know there has been a lot of trouble in the past with these engines, but I thought they had sorted them out?

There is a very long thread on this site dealing with this subject.

Just been reading it, thanks. Didn’t see it at first. Well it’s no where as bad as some on there so I feel better about it now. Will probably sand it down and paint it

Good thinking.   Don't just leave it to get worse.
