Ford Focus Mk 4 - Low Number Of DAB stations

Featured Replies

I live in London and my portable DAB radio has over 76 stations, but the Ford DAB radio only has around 20!

Is there anyway to 'force' a scan of DAB stations available so that it finds the missing stations - or is it simply only

selecting the very strong signals?

Many Thanks for any ideas.

I know nothing about Ford's DAB system, but there is always a way fo doing a re scan on a DAB radio. You just need to access 'system' and go to the re scan mode. I would suggest you do this when you know you are in a strongish signal area so you collect the full range. Yes, many radios also have the option to suppress stations that aren't being received above a certain signal level, there should also be a way of turning this off. I would play about with the system settings, unless you want to wait for someone sensible to come along LOL

Thanks, but cannot find anyway to scan for stations like an ordinary DAB radio. Nothing in settings and using the Forward scan button does not find new

stations. Perhaps someone who has SYNC 3 can help?

I think when you press ensemble - + buttons it scans as it loads a new page. Cerianly I've seen the list change on long journeys.  I have 8 ensemble buttons each with 20 stations on.

Thanks - I have Ensemble + and - showing. Only one has stations, but only around 20.

There should definitely be more than one Ensemble, At a minimum there should be

BBC National

SDL National

D1 National

In my driveway I have 7 Ensemble with I guess 20 stations in each

Talking of radio issues. Is it possible to get rid of the pre set channels ?

We dont have the radio on that often tbh but when it is on and the button on the steering wheel is accidentally touched the damn radio goes to " Talksport" any ideas 🙄

On Sync 3 it should go to the last station you were listening to, to save the presets, just press and hold a preset button when tuned into a station.

How odd I only have two living near London. Is there a way of doing a 'scan' for all available networks like on a DAB radio? Maybe the antenna is faulty?

There's no manual scan  ,the radio continuously scans for  available stations you can see here what you should get https://ukfree.tv/radio/multiplexes

The Ford radio is actually pretty good on DAB ,  my nearest transmitter is 40 miles away and its the only one I've got that receives a reliable signal.

Just to be crystal clear. How do you view all the multiplexes? I think I touched 'Sources' & only saw Ensemble+ & Ensemble-

You press ensemble + or - and you then see any available stations in those miltiplexes. Then obviously you press the required station to listen
