My wife’s fiesta has yet again been the victim of someone knocking her wing mirror off! I recall researching the possibility of installing powerfold mirrors and we have the loom/connection to do so. So now we’ve decided to try get them installed. She has a 2011 Fiesta which did not come with the powerfold mirrors as standard.
 

Once I install them, I’m going to need them activated and I’m unsure how I go about doing this. Some of the posts about IDS in this situation are quite old so not sure if an easier way has been discovered in terms of buying something to DIY the activation. If not, does anyone know how much a dealer would charge to activate it? Does anyone here have the power to activate them for me? ( I’m based in London area and willing to travel)

Any help/pointers would be much appreciated

You will also need to download a program called FORscan which is free you need to register and get an extended licence which lasts for three months, at the end of the three months you just need to extend your licence again, here is a link to the downloads.... https://forscan.org/download.html

I would say If you’re not familiar with changing the cars settings, do some research before you go writing into your ECU.

Before buy the powerfolder mirrors, be sure that you have a 10 pin connector in the door loom.
