MK6 1.6 petrol fan problem 2004

Hi guys,

I have a problem with my fiesta. the fan comes on too early (even when the engine is still cold) . this is not the common problem with the fan where it stays on constantly.

My problem only starts after I have driven half a mile (600m). the temp guage is normal. however when i stop driving the fan will stay on for an extended period.

My suspicions are that I may have a super sensitive sensor, or that the wrong sensor may have been added to the car before I bought it

I have checked with my VIN number for the right sensor but none of my local parts shops can confirm the correct colour of the sensor.

Has anyone had a similar problem like this?
