Starter Motor Replacement - 1.25 Zetec 2007

Featured Replies

Does any have or know where I can find instructions on how to replace the starter motor.  I don't have stands or a trench to approach it from underneath so the technique from above would be ideal.

While I'm here, any suggestions as to where to get the replacement part?

Cheers

Alan

Can’t help with the fitting although I don’t think there’s enough room to get to it from the top, so you will have to get to it from beneath, which will be challenging without ramps. You can get a replacement part for £63 from euro car parts (including their monthly discount code)

Simple job on these, it’s done from underneath. I unbolt and remove the dipstick tube for more room.

If that part is an RTX, don’t waste your time.

Get the Bosch, although I'm sure you can get them cheaper than that at a local motorfactors.

Yep!
I’ve never really had any issues with Remy stuff.
