Hello, I have a 2007 Ford focus zetec which has done over 113,000 miles. 

 

Recently I have noticed whenever I accelerate in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear between 0 and 4000 rpm that the car jerks forwards as if it's what's to travel faster than I am wanting the car to go. I think that the clutch may be going, but I haven't spelt any burning smells but the engine warning light comes on every now and then. The problem with the car jerking forwards in those gears mentioned happens some days and doesnt other days, which I believe is weird. 

 

Anyone help me understand what's happening with my car? As it is confusing me! 😂
