Adding third Key to Ford Fiesta 2008

Featured Replies

Hi, I've lost one of my keys to my Ford Fiesta (08 plate) Zetec Climate and so I'm planning on using Forscan to add a third remote key to the car to replace the lost one. Anyone know what transponder chip and RF frequency this model of car needs? Is there anything else I should check before buying a new uncut remote key off eBay?

Thanks for any help in advance

I thought if you have two working keys and want to add a third then you can just do that in the car without using forscan of obd device. I think transponder chip is 4d63 but I don’t know if it’s 40 bit of 80 bit. Don’t know frequency. I have got a key cut from photo on eBay which worked perfectly. I don’t know how price compares to if you go to a shop in person.

Key frequency is 433 MHz.
