Rear brake lamp wiring

Featured Replies

2015 Fiesta

Passenger side brake lamp was intermittent and now completely not functioning. (All other rear lights are OK)

Bulb is OK and illuminates when 12v is applied to the appropriate "pins" of the connector on the lamp unit side but I think the connector between the body and the unit is not getting power to one of its "pin sockets" with a violet/green wire.on the body side. (Must admit my multi-meter is a bit crude for accessing these pins  and a test bulb with leads is not the most professional apparatus)

I believe this connector is supplied from the Body Control Module, so I tried to follow the cables back to source. However I am scared to touch the mass of connectors and wires revealed  when the passenger lower fascia cover is removed. Is there any other  access point to check the supply or can anybody offer specific advice, please?

I would possibly run a wire from the other brake light if I wanted to fix it with minimum amount of work. Not ideal
