Good morning all, my name's Scott and was wondering if anyone was kind enough to help me out. I'm sure I'm being stupid somewhere but my fiesta (2012 1.4 16v petrol automatic) managed to drown itself with coolant when the head gasket went so I'm Searching for a replacement engine. My problem is using the vin, using internet search and ringing local ford to try to track the correct engine code I'm not able to verify which engine I need. Ford said it's the last 6 digits of the vin which doesn't seem to correlate to any of the listed engine codes ...is anyone able to shed any light for me please .... Many thanks in advance

    The last 6 digits of the VIN are the engine serial number, not the engine code.

    There's 4 by the looks of it. Narrowed down to 2 if you know the emmision level. Then I would guess one is manual and one auto.
