ST engine swap

Featured Replies

Hey guys, how you all doing? I was wondering if anyone has ever done an engine swap with an ST. planning on taking out the ecoboost engine out of my Fiesta and fitting an ST3. Was wondering if anyone has done this kind of swap and what was the experience like for them. Would very much like to see what people have done and is it worth the time and money ☺️

Hi Fella

I bought all the parts to do this to my 1.0 EcoBoost as I have done lots of other stuff to it and saw it as a easier solution rather than swapping the car for a ST. Anyway, the engine is a bolt in job all mounts will line up ok even the lower gearbox torque mount. The hardest part would be changing the loom out as the ST has a different engine harness to body plug so you would have to take the under bonnect loom out and change it for the ST version. Another thing is that you will need a Ford ECU to run the ST engine get a set with all the modules and at least 1 key. Radiator AC etc is easy just get the front of a ST and it will bolt up. As said I have most of these parts for sale if you are interested. I decided to stick with the 1.0 and putting pistons , rods then compund turbo.

Best of luck.
