Safe to put taller profile tyres on stock rims?

Featured Replies

I want to put Michelin CrossClimate+ tyres on my Fiesta, my current tyres are 205/40R17 84W. The CrossClimate+ don't have that size, they have 205/45R17 88W, would this be OK to use?

Should be fine, you may notice that your Speedo may be a little off due to a slight change in wall size but not by much.

I swapped all the 235’s to 225 on mine due to the cost savings and I didn’t notice any difference at all if I’m honest with you.

There’s a website which tells you what can fit on your alloy safely, have a quick google :) honestly can’t remember what it’s called
