Crank but no start

Featured Replies

Hi, trust all are well.

I have this problem with my Ford Fiesta 1.4 2014 model that just don't want to start but it crank strong. I replaced the following already, coil pack, HT cables, oil cooler and drained the oil. Fuel pump is working.

When my oil cooler packed up it causes small damaged to my head gasket. I bought Gasket magic so seal the head gasket and my problem was solved. After 3 weeks of driving when I wanted to start my car it only cranked and no start. I discovered my 2 of my spark plugs was broken and bought all 4 new spark plugs. One swing and again 2 spark plugs broke and it was now on different cylinders. We noticed that there was no oil pressure and put 20 ml of oil in each cylinder and the spark plugs stopped being broken. What I mean by broken is the white ceramic broke and not the whole spark plug. I took of the catalytic converter also and did the software and still it's not starting only cranks. I also replaced the oil filter and new oil. My oil was a rusty color.

very strange. how does spark plug get broken.  do you mean the white ceramic at top of spark plug or at bottom (where it goes inside engine). i think you need to do a compression test on all cylinders.  there is no magic cure for a blown headgasket. Anthing short of taking head off, skimming it and replacing gasket is unlikely to work well.
