So, got a MK3 Focus ST... I really like the idea of puddle lights. Don’t mind drilling under the side mirrors to fit a unit... my only concern is, how would I get power to them so they would come on with door opening etc.

 

I’m sure it has something to do with how many pins you have on the connector in the wing mirror and if you have the correct door module or something?

 

Can anyone shed any light or tell me what they’ve done to get puddle lights?

Ha, yes! They look cool! Thanks for that link, I use Tapatalk for forums in my phone and the search function is awful, doesn’t allow you to filter by newest post or date or anything for that fact!

So, looks like it’s a straight run from the wing mirror to the door module which is easy. Now I just need to work out which pin does what on the door module :)

Not allowed the order anything anymore, I got a bollocking of the Mrs for constantly having parcel delivered every day of the week for the past few weeks lmao! It’s a new idea every week with me [emoji23]

Yep! It’s like the led bulbs, I blagged them by saying they were warranty replacements for the ones I got from amazon 2 years ago. She opened the package and asked why they were so different... I went a bit quiet and the first thing she said ‘ you been ordering stuff for your car again?!?!’ I lied and then she caught me out haha.

Mines an ST-2 - was gutted when it didn’t have the power fold mirrors and puddle lights. You’d think even the ST-1 would of at least had them!

Can’t remember if the ST-3 did either? I know the only difference with the 3 over the 2 for me was the xenon projector headlights. Oh and full leather interior instead of half and half lol

Ah, maybe that's why then.  The majority of Titanium's seemed to have the city pack (rear park pilot and powerfold mirrors) when I was looking for one so they can't have been particularly expensive by that point.  My Mk2.5 also came with powerfold mirrors but they were an expensive option back then.

I'm surprised the ST1 even comes with wheels lol, doesn't get a heated screen, climate or auto lights/wipers.  But I would expect the 2 to come with them!  Yeah the leathers and xenons were the main 3 extras.  Keyless entry was standard on the 3 too I think.  I reckon the powerfold mirrors probably were standard but would need someone else to confirm!

They did though they weren't LED. 

I had a puddle light on mines before changing to the sequential it was full of rain ☔ 😂 

My 64 plate st3 has puddle/powerfolding mirrors.

There have been MANY complaints over the years, I usually just use a search engine but restrict the search to this site as shown in the image below.
