I currently have Sync 3 V3 Build 18025 with map version F7.

What is the latest Sync 3 version and what is the latest map version?

I have my updates set to automatic but all I get is a circle turning round with nothing happening.

I have also tried downloading the file direct from ford website and loading via usb but again nothing happens at all. 

I am wondering if i currently have the latest info already loaded?

Any help appreciated.

I have the same version sync as you and I am now on F9 for maps.  I do not think the updates work via wifi for our cars.  You will need to download it from the website and update that way.  One of the key things is to ensure your USB drive is big enough and has been formatted to FAT 32 otherwise the system will not recognise it.

There's hundreds of posts re this issue on here but if you are on Sync3.3  and F7 then you will have to wait for Ford to make updates available to you .They have only given F9 to vehicles with sync 3.0 .Turn off WiFi updates its unlikely to help you. It looks like they are issuing v3.4 first prior  making F9 available and have started with the Edge and Kuga in Europe. Dont worry some of us have been waiting for nearly 2 years to get a map update. Ford don't really seem care less.

I thought is was USB supposed to be formatted exFAT

How do you know this, is it stated on Ford website anywhere?

You’ll see a lot of whining posts from those that think they’re hard done by, (mainly new model Focus owners) F9 is available for Fiesta 2017 on models. Just go to the Ford Update SYNC page and input your VIN number, you should get an update if you’re on SYNC 3.0 to map version F9. Another way round this is use the Cyanlabs method, (can be found in the Focus forum) where you can update to SYNC 3.4 and map version F9.

If you look through the forum you will find several threads regarding F9 maps and sync 3.4 amongst others with a lot of info about this . Ford won't really tell you anything but they have not been able make map updates available on their website for vehicles with sync3.2+ .

It is a fact that they are currently rolling out sync3.4 upgrade for v3.3 vehicles but so far only appears to be for Kuga and Edge. The IT experts on here believe they are doing this prior to releasing F9 .

However as the previous post says if you are on v3.0 you should be offered F9 on the download website now?
