I find it a little stupid schools are still open. I might wrong. It doesn't help the parents or grandparents if their grand or children come back with covid symptoms and passed it onto them.

cats are worse than kids for spreading it especially the Friday cat that goes around to everyone's house for a chin rub and a few scraps,

My mother is 70 and lives alone; she's cocooning since April probably couldn't fit out the door at this stage even if restrictions were lifted; but she has alot of cats calling over for food and a pet although none belong to her; they can carry the virus from person to person;

Len, honestly, I'm surprised at you. This is exactly the type of propaganda I expect from government, not a sensible member of this forum! 🤣

To date over 46 Million cases of Covid have been registered with WHO. After extensive research (which I did because I own a cat and heard wild rumours of this!) there have been less than a handful of cases worldwide attributed to the possible cross contamination to a cat or dog. Statistically, well, you can work it out.

As long as your mum follows every world government advice of washing her hands, especially in contact with any pet which is good hygiene even without a pandemic, she should be much safer than a visit from a human... Stay safe buddy

It's funny you say that. Recently there's been a cat coming to the garden door. My sister has been feeding her. Believe she's domestic as she's clean. Very friendly cat but get startled when someone tries to walk out.

What does bother me is the scientific/medical advisers such as Messrs Vallance and Whitty who appear to have a particular view and then make the evidence fit. Saturdays briefing seemed highly suspect to me - they put up a series of pretty indistinct slides in quick succession and claimed they were proof of their predictions.

It was good to see these two getting a grilling yesterday by the Commons Science and Technology Committee who were very sceptical of their imaginative use of statistics. The real, indisputable, figures on deaths and hospital admissions seem to me sufficiently serious to justify action if deemed necessary, without further enhancement. Anyway, 'nuff said on that one.

Just been up the Dales to shut up our caravan before lockdown. Strange feeling of deja vu as we'd only just opened it up at the start of the season in March, when we had to shut it up for the first lockdown. Technically the season at our site runs to 3 January, but do I trust the lockdown to end on 2 December? Err..................!😃

I'm sure your kindly site owner will be giving you a discount on this year's charges as you've not been allowed to use it 😂

Lol. Well, we have benefited from the Chancellor's VAT reduction for the leisure industry, but nothing on the fees themselves.

There's been a lot of debate on this one in caravan owning circles, including legal challenges, and circumstances differ from site to site. On our small site, we basically pay for the right to keep the van there whether we use it or not, he maintains the site and sorts out the connections to services, but we pay separately for any electricity or gas we use. So there's no actual saving in his case, and he's still meeting the costs of maintaining the site etc.

if i can summaries the News this week in to one single word it would be "Sour"

the entire UK in full lockdown and Ireland already two weeks in to its full implementation of level 5, then Trump lost the US election.
