Lifting Focus estate mk2

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm looking to LIFT the suspension on a Mk2 Focus estate so that it can handle unmade roads better.

(we have some land in the forest and so long as your car is 2cm higher than the other guy then he will be the one to scrape all the rocks out the way with the bottom of his car...)

20 or 30 mm spacer kits are available from Ukraine for the hatch. Strut spacers for the front and spring / shock mount spacers for the rear:

That won't work for the Estate rear shocks though because the mounts are different.

How much "droop" travel is there on a standard Focus estate? Is it the shock that limits it? I'm wondering whether a 20 mm spacer kit would be ok or you'd find yourself running out of rear droop too often.

Is the estate rear suspension shared with any other model that might have longer travel shocks? Kuga? V50?

Thanks
