Siri

Featured Replies

I use Siri for Bluetooth music mainly , ask for songs etc. The music is still playing but when I press the steering wheel voice command button the Siri banner appears , it beeps as usual but then doesn’t give me a chance to ask for a song.
When the iPhone is plugged in for Apple Carplay it all works fine. I’ve had this issue before but forget how to fix it!
Likely settings in the iPhone but I don’t know. Anyone had this issue?

I believe for Siri to work your iPhone needs to be plugged in, that's the only way it works for me.

I’ve been using it unplugged for almost a year now. I have Apple Music and use the steering wheel button rather than say ‘hey Siri ‘

I allways use it plugged in that way the steering wheel buttons work, sync 3 v 3.3 , iPhone 11pro never works unplugged not that I use it much anyway hopefully someone with more knowledge than me can help.

I should’ve tried this before starting a thread...

iPhone off and back on again.....sorted

i read the iPhone 11 had ‘issue’ with hands free. Apple Software update should sort that...

I rarely plug the phone in. I’ve got Ford Navigation, my music subscription works perfectly with Bluetooth.
Only time is if I need Apple maps thru Carplay, Finding businesses/shops on Apple is better than ford . Can ask Siri questions thru Bluetooth too.  .these days it’s often “what day is it?”
