Eac fail

Featured Replies

I have a 2003 1.4tdci fiesta. I went through a big puddle and shortly after it went into limp mode and cut out. It thrn started and drove in limp with flashing eac fail. It wouldn't start after that. Left it for a couple of hours, started no problem. Drove 2 miles home then it started flash and run on kangaroo diesel... holding back, picking up..

Any ideas? Will have fault codes read tomorrow. Cheers

Has anyone else had this issue and had anything done to prevent it happening again?

2005 M1 fiesta - second time this has happened now but go through a small puddle which splashes passenger side, 1-5 mins later car goes into lymp mode and 'EAC FAIL' message flashing. As I said happened before - last year but didn't drive the car for a couple days and when I went back to it, seemed to have fixed itself with no issue but same thing has happened again - obviously with the amount of rain we have don't want it to keep happening :(
