I’ve got a 1.6 petrol zetec and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good replacement radio with CarPlay and so on.

My last car was a 2010 Astra. It didn’t even have dab radio! Never mind Apple Carplay! I’ve a Mk4 Focus , iPad stuck on the dash..is that the plan? 

Any of the car play stereos made by Sony, Pioneer, JVC, Kenwood and many other big manufactuers are bound to be decent quality. They all work pretty much the same in terms of car play. Unfortunately I don't think there are any decent integrated units available for the mk7 fiesta, so you'd have to get a double din conversion for the fascia. They are the worst looking double din fascia's in any car I've ever seen lol.

Do you know if the ‘cheap Chinese’ android stereo are worth getting or is it just best to get a named brand one.

I don't even know why I mentioned the mk7 fiesta, you have a mk2 focus lol. I guess because you never mentioned focus anywhere i assumed it was a fiesta.

This question has only been recently asked and I gave a pretty lengthy reply about my experience with the head unit I have. In short, the sound quality isn't as good as my stock Sony unit, but brings the interior up to date.

Also worth noting i dont think you can get car play on the android units. Although I don't have an iPhone so never looked into it properly.

@Luke Whitford I just installed (literally 2 hours ago 😛 ) the junsuns V1 Pro (4gb ram, 64gb rom, 4g wifi.....). Install was really easy (first radio i do), all cables just plug and play, it has an adapter for the original loom, then 2 wires for GPS and 4G antenna, 2 USB connectors with wires, one for the reverse camera, and another one for the sim+aux+audio-out+video-out+sub. Right now i have the unit, GPS and 4G installed, (i also added their dash cam. quality looks good for 25 euro's). The sound quality is very good.

Normally the screen should dim (switch to nighttime brightness) when you turn on your lights, but that doesn't seem to work for me right now (also the music controlls on the steering wheel work fine). I messaged the seller for it and probably get an awnser tomorrow morning. (they awnser really fast). Also for some reason, my windows don't work correctly anymore 😕
