Hi all

 

i recently bought a car but it had English plates on it, its now registered on different plates in a differ country, i was wondering if anybody has any info on previous owners, or if you are that person maybe you could PM me with hits history, the currant dealer that i got it from imported it and history is slim to none

As an 18 plate it would have very little history as it will only be due it's first mot this year.

You could register on etis and lookup if it had any history of software checks/updates but the only other thing you should have is the service book with the dealer stamps when it was serviced.

I bought an 18 plate in November and I found mine had a new clutch fitted but otherwise everything is good on mine. I just want to get any software updates installed when I can get it booked in while it is still under manufacturers warranty.

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated, yes i will certainly try etis, as far as i no from the dealers book its had a new windshield put in, that's about it, 

If you register as an independent operator, I think the option I chose was software developer or something along those lines and then search for the vehicle vin or if you set etis to uk you should be able to search by registration plate.

Do you have FordPass in ROI?  If so, that'll show you service history from the VIN.

Don't expect much though, it only tells you date and mileage, not what's been done.
