Mild hybrid

Featured Replies

Considering changing my 68 plate Titanium for the new Focus titanium edition hybrid....

any owners have any comments?

Any reason to change other than the engine?  It's only a mild hybrid so you're unlikely to save a noticeable amount of fuel.

The headlights are upgraded to LED reflector which is better than halogen but not as good as the adaptive LEDs.

Some owners have mentioned a vibration on the MHEV when cylinder deactivation cuts in, and a harshness to the regenerative braking, but so far not much else to report.

The ST is about £7k more. Your always going to be disappointed in that kind of comparison. It’s like testing a popular plus knowing you can afford the XR2. But in the 21st century.

And the ST is only available with spine breaking suspension and silly tyres...

Yeah. The hybrid just felt weird to drive, and i wouldnt believe the economy claims if your a commuter.

IRT the spine breaking suspension - with perf pack or without? 😛

Haha, I'm not going to get into this again, but even comfort mode can't overcome the lack of sidewall and stiff springs...

Mate I think you need a monster truck. 🤣
