Ford Focus ignition lock

Featured Replies

I just bought a 2007 1.4 petrol Focus for my wife. Car is running great and everything just one problem is the ignition on it, it has a normal 3 button key to unlock the car but to start it i have to use a different key a type i never seen before and i have had a few fords over the years. it has a housing on the barrel that the key slides into to turn it but then to take it out there is a button that you press and pull out the key only its getting stuck and you need two hands to get it out well for my wife you do. is it poosible to change the barrel to a normal one with a normal key and keep the one she has for unlocking the car. i will add pictures of the lock.
