Water leak

Featured Replies

Hi to all members

I have problem with water ingress to the boot of my car it’s a cabriolet CC3 hard top folding I can’t say exactly where the water is getting in but think it might possibly be the seal around the rear of the boot but there are no cuts or damage to the seal that I can see

st the moment I have emptied the boot as there is about 1” of water in it

any thoughts or suggestions or if you may of experienced a similar problem would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

If the seals visually look okay and you can't see any split seam welds etc, I think the only option left is trying to make it leak so you can try to spot where it's coming from i.e. you inside the car (with the roof up of course 😁).  And get someone to hose the car down from close range, focusing on the seems/joints for the roof/boot etc and hopefully a couple of minutes of that will be sufficient to create a leak big enough that you can see it. (An LED torch might help with visibility)
