Focus 2012 1.0 Ecoboost Advice

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at replacing my 2008 focus. I have seen a 2012 titanium 1.0 ecoboost for £4k. Serviced at 12k, 25k, 38k, 45k, 60k, 70k and its current mileage 81k.

Realistically it will be sat on the drive doing nothing for 5 days a week, with an hour or twos usage for supermarket trips and local distance at weekends.

The £30 a year tax is appealing, a huge difference from my current 1.8l, but I'm slightly concerned that the timing belt is scheduled next year which is expensive for these engines. Would it be ok to leave it until 100k? Is there anything I should be concerned about?
