Similar problem to other posts on site. It will open with key fob but not manually. i beleive these are seperate circuits so i am attepting to inspect the switch. i have removed the trim. the inside of the boot is bone dry. there are 4 clips on the inside of the switch cluster. these are just visible but getting at them seems impossible. with two flat screwdrivers i can depress 2 of the clips but it does not loosen the switch and wont slide out of the aperture. is there a special tool for this? as the car has only done 20k miles and the inside boot is dry i dont think it will be water but maybe a faulty switch.
