Bodywork Repairs

Featured Replies

Hi

I was involved in a bump and i need some advice on the bodywork repairs that need doing. I feel the Insurance company are messing me about, they have said that they want to knock the dents out and put filler on the wheel arch section as they don't replace this due to Manufacturing Seals (not sure what they mean by that?) Also they are going to do the same for the front door but replace the panel on the back door.

Please use the link below and take a look at the damage i would love it if someone could give me their professional opinion of what they should be doing repair wise.

Sorry - your link gives an "unavailable" error message from Google!

My own experience (I've owned 6 cars in 26 years) is that minor damage can often be better repaired by filler rather than total panel replacement - which as they say would break seals e.g. between the door skin & door frame etc leading to potential rust problems in a few years...
