My Fiesta Wont Start

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just recently picked up my fiesta. Its a 1.25 16v zetec 1998 reg. I've been driving it around for a couple of days and its been running fine. On the Sunday night I stalled it and when i tried to start it back up it kept on cutting out. After many attempts i got it started again and got it home. So the next day we checked the car and we were advised it might be the spark plugs or idle control valve as the engine would started sit on 1000revs then cut out. So we changed all that today but still nothing. Ive been advised to change the crank sensor which im gonna try and do tommorow. I was just wondering if anybody else has had a similar problem and could help me try and help me fix it !?!

Thanks

2 things possibly to try, potentiometer for the cutting out if not possibly a butterfly valve which sits in the inlet manifold. Both cheap and an easy fix. i would start with the potentiometer! Finis number 7173046 but check with dealer with your chassis number.
