DTCs in HVAC

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Have scanned my fiesta with the HS/MS adapter and got:

B105A:15-48

B1083:11-48

B1086:11-48

B1081:11-48

All indicate a short but the HVAC works on ignition 3 but doesn't on ignition 2. Getting closer to the issue but not sure where this short would be?

What's your reg I'll have a look through the wiring diagrams and see if I can come up with anything, I did have a look last night but there's about 20 variations depending on spec, so ideally need the reg to be 100%

Thank you so much! When I run the HVAC test in forscan it runs with no issues but the automatic climate control unit doesn't light up at all? Only power it gets is to illuminate the buttons at night. Or fully works if I hold the key on ignition 3 - with AC also fully working

It's a weird one, I can't see anything that links the codes together apart from the climate control module.

Check the fuse in BCM for the module just to make sure, looking at the diagram I believe it to be fuse 27 (7.5 amp) check your owners book to confirm.

Check the wiring in the back of the climate module and as far behind the dash as you can see (after that the wiring splits in different directions so if it's a common short then to should be fairly close the module).

Last is to check the ground which is on the left hand side of the centre console on the floor somewhere.

If these all appear okay I'd assume it's the module itself

Just got around to finally buying and fitting a new ac control unit but no luck.

When on forscan I've noticed I have a few errors for the BCM module and no as built data available for it, does that mean it's most likely to be toast?
