How to remove front fog light cover?

Featured Replies

I have a fiesta 2012 zetec 1.25L. I'm wondering how you remove the front fog light covers (the plastic Chrome ones). Do you need to remove the front bumper or can you do it from the outside?

Thank you.

Pretty sure you have to remove the headlight unit, you'll then fully see the back of the light & fixings.

Hello, thanks for your reply. Can you remove the headlight unit from the outside, or is it under the bonnet?

If you only need to remove it you can do it from the outside- it’s tough but can be done

I replaced both of mine without removing the bumper or headlight

Pop the bonnet and look at the lights & screws, the headlamp is held at the bottom by stiff clips, be careful unclipping & lifting the light.

It can be done like that but like you say it's tough to remove them, they are a pretty tight fit, watched one fella trying to remove his with a screwdriver, I did tell him to remove the lights but he wasn't having none of that, he was pushing the bezel inwards and trying to pop it out, on his first attempt, he slipped whilst pushing the chrome part in and scratched his bumper, the air was red as he stomped around in anger and the screwdriver went down the road.

If anyone attempts this way, I'd advise to mask off everywhere just in case you slip....That's if a screwdriver is being used ?

Pinched two images off the net to show the OP how they are held in place...
