Hey people

i picked up a mk8 ST a few weeks ago and ever since i’ve had the car it makes a kind of whining whistle noise at idle that increases with rpm up untill 2k ish rpm.

Only does this when engine has warmed up and happens in any gear or neutral,clutch in or out.

Under the bonnet its more prominent from the left side near of engine.

Here is a video of the sound

If anyone could compare or has an idea if this is normal i would be very grateful !
