PAS Pump query

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2008 fiesta which I think is a mark 5. I am replacing the power steering pump and have obtained a genuine part but it states that it is for a mark 6. Is there any difference between the two and how can I find out definitively whether I have a mark 5 or 6, if that even matters?

Thank you

2008 is either Mk6 facelift, or early Mk7.  They look very different so a quick image search should tell you which you have.

Roughly 2002-2005 is mk6. 2006-2008 is mk6 facelift/mk6.5  , at least that is how they are generally known in uk. But in other countries our mk6 is often known as mk V (Roman numeral for 5) . On parts search sites eg eBay you often see mk v used for our mk6.   It does cause a lot of confusion

That’s great thank you very much Isetta. At least I am not alone in my confusion 👍
