Ok, so my Dad has a 2015, 1399cc Fiesta TDci which is smoking badly and using oil. My first instinct was blocked DPF.

He has already had new glow plugs and turbo. A mobile mech' did a regen and I took it for a blast down m'way. The faults cleared, for a while.

They now back. I've used a cheap code reader which tells me either DPF blocked or wrong DEF fluid. Does it have DEF ? I can't see anywhere to add.

So would blocked DPF cause excessive oil consumption ?
