Mk 5 audio problems after converting to single din replacing the triple deck

Featured Replies

Hi everyone .

Im having issues with audio clipping or poping and crackle on my pioneer head unit I bought to replace the stock triple deck system .

The issue is the sound is perfect when the car is standing and running . As soon as she starts moving the popping begins out of the speakers .

I used the facia and wiring harness plug and play kit of Amazon and no wires were cut .

Anybody have an idea what could be the issue .

Hi Jonathan, my first thoughts would be you have a bad ground (earth) connection to the stereo. Check that the adapta lead is fully pluged in. Try connecting a wire from the metal case of the pioneer unit to the chassis of the car. There will be a screw on the stereo that you will be able to attach a ground wire to.
