Hello everyone :)

Just wondering where is the pollen filter on a Mk7 Fiesta Zetec? Also should there be a cover on the light bulb in the drivers footwell?

Cheers

Rob

Pollen Filter....No idea  wait for someone with more engine bay knowledge

Footwell lighting, no they dont have any sort of cover over them, its normal :)

On the MK6 and 6.5 you need to remove the side panel against the centre fascia in the passenger footwell.

The pollen filter is behind this panel and is quite easy to remove and replace.

Im not 100% sure where it is on the MK7 ,but this would be a good place to start looking

Dave

yes the mk7 does have a pollen filter!!!

if you look at the side of the centre console from the drivers side iirc and remove the panel that goes right past the pedals

(one push clip, then three captive spring clips at the gearstick end)

look at the cavity you have just opened up and you will see a long panel going almost vertically on the side of the heater box with a screw at the bottom, undo this screw and slide the long panel downwards, it will then release and your pollen filter will just slide out.

and of course in true haynes style, refitting is the reverse of removal

Thank you for the replies it is much appreciated.

I just thought the exposed bulb looked a bit odd but I am pleased it's normal. Earlier on I had a look around the passenger and drivers footwell, and a quick look behind the centre console panels however I didn't see anything obvious. Thanks fordpartsman I now know where to look and a good idea what to look for :)
