new battery help

Featured Replies

Judt installed a new battery in my 07 focus and need a step by step of resetting computer if this is required please

I have removed, re-installed, and replaced the battery in my 57 focus a few times, and have never found it necessary to reset anything other than the radio. Unless you are getting any unusual problems, I wouldn't worry about it. If it is needed, I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will put you right.

just take it for a good run  and it self learns the setting

Hi, the 2007 doesn't have a BMS, so nothing to reset or clear.

@StephenFord can you confirm there is no BMS or a 2007 ?

I can confirm the 2005, and 2006 doesn't, must confess, I'm unsure about the 2007 - sorry...

On what computer? Unless you've plugged in and read the codes using a reader then it's a waste of time.

If you are talking about the crazy little codes that you can get in the Instrument Cluster they are of little to no use to anyone.

You need to read the real DTC's using a laptop and Forscan software.
