Can anyone shed some light on their actual experiences (positive or negative) and whether they would recommend buying the Ford extended mechanical breakdown cover.

Feel free to suggest alternative companies that would compare with Fords warranties.

    Check the smallprint...like Insurance companies they make their fortune by rejecting claims...leaving you to fight them.

     

    I've never yet heard of a satisfied 'extended warranty' custoner...there may be some/many/most, silently of course

    You'll find vagueness. Personally I would not buy any extended warranty other than factory...andhave a lawyer review it

    before paying or committing. The car if new willhave a warranty likely to cover most faults...but read it before buing the car.
