i hope you won't be using this on the road as HID in reflector housings are increadibly illegal, at least in projectors (if adjusted correctly) can be passed as legal but halogen reflector housings have no way of controling the beam output pattern of an HID so your going to blind everyone on the road, not get the most of the HID out of it, and imediatly make your car illegal for on road use

Any car using HID/xeon on the road needs to be self levelling to stop blinding other road users, this requires an auto levelling system (which i believe your car does not have). If you are planning to use these on the road,  before looking at sets to buy it would be worth having a look at the regulations behind headlights in the UK as they have changed recently. I have put some useful links below 🙂

Aftermarket HID headlamps - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

MOT special notice 01-21: headlamp conversions - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Hope this helps 🙂

Can you please give a hint on what the best bulbs to use thanks for advice

Thank guy's for advice

You need something like this Osram Night Breaker. Obviously get the correct fitment for your car...I know H7 is fitted in my friends 2014 Fiesta.

Note: Brighter bulbs like this don't tend to last as long as standard halogen bulbs...I use the Osram Cool Blue Intense for my Static cornering lights in my Mondeo and they last about 2 years (in normal times).

This topic has been covered on here and many forums, many times over the years. The easiest, safest and legal way to improve your headlights is to buy upgraded halogen bulbs. Either higher output (+ 150-200%) or buy bulbs with blueish coating that gives a whiter light. Some dark blue tinted bulbs are not road legal though, check the small print!

However all high output performance bulbs will have a shorter life than standard ones. The old Osram Nightbreakers had a reputation of doing what name suggests, Breaking at night! I don't know what they are like nowadays,  I ran Philips Extreme bulbs on my last car and had no problems.

Someone may have them, a few do but it does not necessarily mean they are legal. 👍🏻

What about fitting the titanium headlights with the projector

That is completely legal as long as 1, you have kept the bulbs as halogen, 2, you have gone into forscan and made the LED DRL function correctly

I would ask why? The existing lights are adequate although Philips bulbs add a bit of light. It is a nine year old Fiesta. Save your money. You will be needing it for servicing and replacing bits that wear out

Did the mk7 or 7.5 ever have a hid option from new? I don't think it did. I know mk8 has full LED lights, but I don't think mk7 had upgrade option, only LED DRLs.

The wife's mk8 has full led, all rear lights are led but why oh why are the fog lamps / cornering lights standard filament bulbs?

Everything is a nice white colour other than these.....

Probably cost but come on, does anyone at Ford actually look at the finished product and think hmmmmm?
