I'm looking to get a new fiesta and was looking at the St line with either 140ps or 155ps hybrid. I live in Ireland I can't seem find out why ford don't sell those in Ireland, I've asked a couple of main dealers and they all say ford just don't sell them over here. I can either get a 1.0 ecoboost 95ps or a 1.0 mhev 125ps. Does anybody know how I would go about getting one without having to go used through the uk?

I am not sure you will. It may be EU ruling or something similar which prevents the 155mhev being sold. I have read that other mainland Europeans are restricted to the engine size and power they can get in some of their countries.

I also don't think you can order a new standard 140ps Fiesta any longer. It would have to be a Mhev with your preferred engine.

You live in a country with a small population. Ford don't think that the market in Eire will support sales of the model you want so they have not set up spares and service support for it either.  That brings its own problems. Importing new from the United Kleptocracy will be economically crazy as will be getting an EU compliant car registered in an EU country because it was registered in the UK !

If I were doing this, I would research buying a car in Belgium and ordering it RHD. This used to be a common practice when our cars were overpriced some years ago.

In the past people bought new cars from Ireland to use in the uk. My father in law did it with a rover 216gti in 1990/1991ish.  Pricing based on what the market will stand which is influenced by what people can afford and many cars were cheaper in ireland
