Ford Fiesta Mk5 Brake Lights Wiring Diagram

Featured Replies

Currently only the top middle brake light works on my ford fiesta Mk5. I have checked the bulbs for the side brake lights and they are fine. Thus I do not think that the fuse nor the brake switch are faulty. Has anyone got a wiring schematic to better debug this?

Thanks

Possibly the bulb holders are shot, test you are getting 12v at the holders and to the wires to the holders

Well if the middle brake light is working you can rule out (a) Fuse (b) Brake pedal switch (c) wiring from switch to back of car.

So you either have: Two faulty bulb holders, two faulty brake/tail light bulbs (or the wrong bulbs), or a very odd wiring fault between all 3 brake lights.

Use a mulimeter and check the voltage on the pins of the bulb holders
