My wife has recently got a 1.0 Ecoboost, couple of issues / niggles, its a 16 reg.

The radio or CD wont work when she goes out in the morning, it'll show what radio station is on, but no sound, likewise if you put a CD in it'll say which track is / should be playing, but no sound ! Yet, when she leaves her work later in the day, all is working, ie, any radio station, and if you play a CD, it'll play ! ??

I've tried quite a few times now to fix this by going into the audio and other menus, but nothing will fix this, but what I've also noticed that if I were to start, stop the car a few times in the morning, then the audio will work !

Is this something to do with the "mykey" having been set to do this ?

 

Also, there seems to be smell of petrol sometimes, there doesn't seem to be a fuel leak, I've checked a few times. theres no sign / evidence of a leak on the driveway where it is always parked !

Is there any other traits that these cars may have ? does the exhaust have a particular sound - as if theres a hole in it somewhere ? - there isnt as I've checked that as well !

Not much help, but I think My Key settings only affects one key so see if results are the same with both/all keys

Yes it is

You can check online if there is any software update you can do, it could fix the issue.
