Try as I might, I couldn't find one I could trust to tell the same lie twice since a flood destroyed a lovely brass gauge I adapted long ago for £3 at a boot sale.

So I looked out for a decent gauge. This one  cost £9. 100mm diameter, +/-1% calibrated and safety glass as a bonusIMG_20211104_173349950_HDR.thumb.jpg.bb8811e84c42088cdda4be7257b66d8d.jpg. The quick release tyre fitting, my preference, £3.41 and the fuel pipe and hose clips were in stock as I used to use a lot of both.

The whole lot reads repeatably and accurately so half an hour's work well spent.
