Cannot open boot Mk5 Fiesta

Featured Replies

The boot lock has not worked for some time and appears to be jammed. I have used the inlock button until yesterday when it clicked twice and then no noise or action. Light bulb needs replacing but cannot get into boot. Is there a way to get in without key or to free lock?

Have you tried wd40 in lock/key hole? With remote unlocking many cars do not ever get the key put in the lock. You then find when you need it, it has seized up. I had one like that and got the boot key working by spraying loads of wd40 in key hole and carefully turning the key in small amounts to and fro to free lock.

Thanks. I have tried that but will continue to do it to see if it helps.
