2015 Fiesta Zetec turbo gearbox? fault

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I'm new on this site, so let me off if I'm in the wrong place!

My cars only done 22000 miles and recently I reversed into a space, pressed clutch down to select neutral and it stopped moving but wouldn't come out of gear! It was rock solid, no matter how I wriggled it etc, if I raised the clutch pedal it started moving again. I turned the ignition off and it slipped straight out of gear!, however when I restarted the engine it wouldn't select any gear, just wouldn't move. I called the AA and when he arrived it started easily and went straight into gear! he even drove it round the block, no problems. I felt a bit embarrassed and put it down to old age!  3 days later in 3rd gear crossing traffic lights it went again, wouldn't come out of 3rd and as I was going slow it shuddered to a halt and stalled. I sat there for a few minutes trying to move it, pressing clutch up and down etc then suddenly it moved and I restarted and drove home. I took it to Invictas my dealer and they had it all day and found no problem! It happened again on a roundabout a few days later, thankfully other drivers were very helpful and pushed me to the car park where eventually the car recovered. I'm 74 years old and scared to use the car now, I phoned Invicta and although I have a Warranty For Life with them they can't book me in till 14th December, so we are without a car!

Has anyone met this problem before? and is there anything I can do?

I had a similar problem with a Fiesta Titanium 2015 a few years ago and it proved to be a problem with the slave cylinder.
